Join us at the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage for a panel discussion led by Dr. John Chenault of the University of Louisville School of Medicine and historians from Riverside, Farmington, Oxmoor and Locust Grove to explore the intersection of medicine and slavery. Their research has uncovered the ways the lives of enslaved people were impacted by disease and the role enslaved people played in the advancement of medical knowledge.
Program offered by the Louisville Coalition on the History of Enslavement, a coalition of former sites of enslavement that includes: Riverside, Farmington, Oxmoor and Locust Grove.
