Join us on Thursday, April 8 @ 6:30 PM for our second virtual conversation “Saying Their Names: Interpreting the Lives of the Enslaved at Historic Sites” led by Joe McGill, founder of the Slave Dwelling Project, and in partnership with Farmington, Locust Grove, Oxmoor Farm Foundation and Riverside, the Farnsley-Moremen Landing.
Representatives and re-enactors from each historic site will join us to discuss the process of research and development as we interpret the lives of the enslaved at these 19th century historic sites.
Our special guest panelist will be Cheyney McKnight. McKnight started re-enacting in 2013 and has worked with more than 40 different historical sites through her company “Not Your Momma’s History.”
Get ready for a stimulating and real conversation! All participants will be emailed a link 24 hours before the event with login instructions.
Tickets are $12. Buy your tickets by following this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/143461058889
All proceeds will support future collaborative conversations and events sponsored by these of historic sites.
